Nessie
Nessie is a 2-year-old indoor and outdoor cat whose primary job was supposed to be Protector of the Chicken Feed Bins against rodent invaders, but she promoted herself to Queen of the Rug by the Fire pretty quickly.
She has always had a huge interest in me making up the dogs' food and likes to sit on the counter and watch. One day, she started helping herself to their food. Nessie has always had her Verm-X Cat Crunchies mixed in with her biscuits and eats them every day, but I disliked the idea of giving her a chemical flea treatment, especially because we'd have to keep her separated from the dogs for 24 hours after using it and she would hate that.
So, I tried mixing in some of the Verm-X Flea & Tick Powder that I give the dogs with a teaspoon of their raw 80/10/10 and Nessie wolfed it down.
Cats are the number one culprit when bringing fleas into a house, so I felt so much happier that I could give her something, especially as she does still find time to catch the odd mouse.
We got Nessie in September 2021, thanks to our Verm-X schedule, she has never needed a pharmaceutical flea or worm treatment. Our animals are checked and tested regularly, and have been fully in the clear every time
