We have received hundreds of fantastic entries for our Summer Photography Competition, which we are proud to share below. The finalists go on to the next stage of the competition to compete to be the winner of their age category, which will be decided by our panel of judges and announced soon.

Jessica is a multi-award-winning photographer living in Dumfries & Galloway with her four dogs.
She started photography with her first camera when she was 14, and did her first paid session at 16, starting her own small business.
She now has 18 published photography titles to date and teaches other photographers from all around the world, working in some of the most beautiful locations with lots of amazing subjects.

Emma is a pet photographer who has won several prestigious awards, including The Guild Of Photographers Pet Photographer Of The Year 2023.
In 2020, amid the pandemic, Emma discovered a new passion for photography.
Documenting the daily walks with my Miniature Dachshund Levi not only brought joy during uncertain times but also ignited a deep love for creating art with pet photography.
Above all, the most important aspect for her is to have fun enjoy the process!
Serial dog cuddler, whippet enthusiast, and a keen fell walker (although her lack of direction has led her on lots of adventures), Kerry started photography in 2009 as a hobby.
After a few years of experimenting with weddings, food, events and families, the hobby turned into a business.
When she started sharing photography of her own dogs, she was amazed that people then asked her for pet photoshoots – she didn’t even know that was a thing!
Kerry now specialises in commercial pet photography and spends her time travelling round the UK with her two whippets, Bertie & Shadow, creating high-end images for pet brands.

Your photo must contain the following elements to be eligible for the competition:
The image must have been taken outdoors.
The image must contain at least one animal (the animal does not have to be owned by the entrant).
The image should be an ‘action shot,’ containing movement of either the subject or the surrounding natural elements.
Each entrant can submit up to three photos to the competition. The images must be original images, taken by the entrant. Entries to the under 16s category may be submitted by the photographer’s parents or guardians. You must have emailed your entry to laura@verm-x.com by 11.59pm on Monday 22nd July 2024. Photos can be attached to the email or submitted it using a filesharing platform like We Transfer.
Within the accompanying email, please include the following information:
Photographer’s name.
Which category is being entered (either the Adult or 16’s and Under category).
Any additional information about the composition or the subject of the image that the entrant would like to share.
Our prize draws and competitions are free to enter and no purchase is necessary. Our photography competition to win one 1 x Patagonia Fieldsmith Roll-Top Pack 30L, 1 x £250 voucher to spend at wexphotovideo.com and 1 x £100 voucher to spend at Verm-X.com opens on 28.06.24 and closes on 22.07.24. Entries submitted after the closing date will not be counted. Verm-X will not accept responsibility for entries that are sent to the incorrect email address.
There is only one prize per entry category available. You must have a valid e-mail address to enter. The photography competition to win 1 x Patagonia Fieldsmith Roll-Top Pack 30L, 1 x £250 voucher to spend at wexphotovideo.com and 1 x £100 voucher to spend at Verm-X.com is open to all UK residents.
Entrants under 16 must get consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of entrants under 16 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant. Only one entry per person is permitted, one entry includes up to three photos.
By entering this competition, you permit Verm-X to share your image on their social media channels and on their website. Verm-X reserve the right to contact you further to discuss the use of the image in additional promotional material, should they so wish, and will compensate you accordingly. The entrant retains the ownership of the image that they submit.
A winner will be chosen by our panel of expert judges on 26.07.2024 and the winner of each category will be contacted by email. The winner will be notified by email (using details provided at entry) within 7 days of being chosen and must provide a postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to Verm-X within 14 days of being notified, then the winner’s prizes will be forfeit and Verm-X will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. The prizes will be sent to the winner within 14 days of responding to Verm-X.
The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. Verm-X reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Verm-X's control make it necessary to do so. The decision of Verm-X regarding any aspect of the prize draw or competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. Verm-X reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
Insofar as is permitted by law, Verm-X will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Verm-X, or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
